What does it take?

So often we give much thought on creating, at least that happens to me.

But then I stop and meditate, what did it take for this gif and photo to be made?

It took:

  • An afternoon watching In The Mood For Love

  • Lighting, move around, take out, on and off

  • A friend of mine gifted me a bouquet of flowers (yes please, check her work out here: https://www.instagram.com/furansu.mx/)

  • Iridescent cellophane

  • A thrifted crystal plate

  • Lot's of trial and error

Nothing from that list happened the same day, but the dots where connected little by little. This reminds me of the book "The Creative Act" by Rick Rubin

The ability to look deeply is the root of creativity. To see past the ordinary and mundane and get to what might otherwise be invisible. - Rick Rubin

What was an experimental session, became a whole new series. Now inscribed on the Blockchain forever: https://gamma.io/prints/20392155dfe8cebc376ac7aa26523e89873a46a883acc857fa313865f61a2175i0

I might not be certain of what I am doing, but I definetly like the results

Hope you enjoyed this little drop of thoughts,

Cheers

Gabriela
